Edgewood Orchard Galleries

4140 Peninsula Players Road

Edgewood Orchard Galleries is one of the Midwest's most respected art galleries, known since 1969 for its exhibitions exploring ideas in a wide range of media. Paintings, sculpture, glass, clay, wood and jewelry are all represented. Open daily from mid-May through October, the gallery presents monthly changing feature shows, along with its general exhibits of work by over 100 artists. Although many of these artists are of national reputation, the atmosphere is welcoming and creative, with a genuine love of art and people felt throughout.

The setting is as exceptional as the artwork shown. Housed in a stone fruit barn built in 1918 and located on an 80 acre orchard, the gallery has been lovingly restored and enhanced by owner-architect Minnow Emerson. It includes a bricked courtyard with bistro tables and chairs, a glassed portico, fine leaded-glass windows and the beauty of nature outside every window.

The gallery was started by artist Irene Haberland and her daughter Anne and is now managed by Anne and Minnow's daughter, Nell Emerson, who grew up surrounded by art and the artists who create it.

This could very well be the most beautiful art gallery in the country. If you are visiting Door County, this is a must-visit!! Stunning artwork in a gorgeous setting. It's a gift to your heart and soul.

This is one of the few galleries I visit every year. Most items are way out of my price range but I love seeing all the art. The gardens are beautiful as others have said. I was amazed to find I knew the artist who does the metal sculptures and I had his son in my class when I taught high school art. The second generation is now a success. Way to go! And by all means make this one of your stops.

If this was a ten star rating I would give it a 12! Everything about Edgewood is beautiful... the gallery, the courtyard, the grounds with a handbuilt stone fence and surprising sculptures throughout... and oh yes, the gardens! Love this place... visit at least once a year when in WI - recommend it to people across the country!
