Blue Mound State Park
Perched atop the highest point in southern Wisconsin, Blue Mound State Park offers spectacular views and unique Locationgeological features. A swimming pool is available in during summer. Over 20 miles of scenic hiking, off-road biking, and cross-country ski trails, as well as a family campground, access to the Military Ridge State Trail with bike-in campsites, and a rustic cabin for people with disabilities make Blue Mound a popular destination year-round.
It's a very nice yet small state park. It has beautiful views, two towers allow you to see for miles on clear days, nice picnic areas, a few nice camping sites and a kiddie pool of sorts. If you like walking they have some nice trails. There's no Lake, Pond or swimming pool at this location. No stream passing through the property so go elsewhere if those are important to you. It sits upon the highest hill in all of southern Wisconsin.
Elec. Only at less than a quarter of the 70 some sites. No water or sewer at all, except at fill and dump site. However; there is a swimming pool and beautiful picnic area. 2 look-out towers with grand views. This place is quiet and we'll wooded.

Some nice hikes with a bit of elevation and towers to help get the heart rate up. Not normally too crowded. Also some nice areas to get pictures of flowers and insects.
Great camp sites, lots of stuff to experience in the park and nearby. Great staff. Vault toilets were in a better condition than I expected. Flushing toilets and showers available, and also clean. Highly recommend camping here.
We have talked about going but never made it. Luckily we went to " GOVERNOR DODGE " State Park First. The Employee sold us an Anual Sticker and we were in Two State Parks today.
